Anti-Corruption in the Wake of the Panama Papers: Next Steps
The leaks from Panamanian law firm Mossack Fonseca (as well as Monaco-based Unaoil) have intensified global attention to corruption and tax havens. Since the leaks, NRGI has provided insight on how a global register could change the policy impact of beneficial ownership data; underscored the importance of building the capacity of administrators to fight persistent tax evasion in Francophone Africa; and charted the prospects for beneficial ownership disclosure in Ghana. And in the run-up to the U.K. Anti-Corruption Summit on 12 May (and the conference that precedes it), a new NRGI think piece explores legal and illegal corruption as well as the interconnectedness of corruption networks. It also identifies key transparency gaps in commodity trading.

Revenue Sharing: Lessons from Bolivia and Peru
Many national governments in Latin America have shared mining and hydrocarbon revenues with subnational authorities for years. But what are the most effective models? NRGI has explored and documented revenue sharing arrangements in Peru and Bolivia and isolated elements for success.
