Abdoulaye is based in Dakar and works on NRGI's data, analysis and research projects related to resource extraction in the Africa region. Abdoulaye works both with NRGI's Africa regional team and with the research, data & learning team.

Prior to joining NRGI, he worked as a research executive at Kantar’s public division, managing projects for several clients (including WHO, GSMA, OCP AFRICA) and working on data analysis for the West Africa region. Abdoulaye has also worked as a research consultant for Palladium Group, IRESSEF, Westat, J.E. Austin Associates, and Results for Development (R4D).

He holds a master's of sociology from the Université Gaston Berger de St Louis, Senegal. Abdoulaye speaks French, English, Fulah and Wolof.
