Papa Daouda is based in Dakar and supports NRGI’s research and analytical work in francophone Africa as well as the implementation of NRGI’s Africa regional strategy. He has worked on a range of topics including revenue management, energy transition, tax and financial modeling, and licensing. He is a member of both the sub-Saharan Africa and legal and economic teams. 

Prior to joining NRGI, Papa Daouda worked for the Institutional Support Project for Resource Mobilization and Investment Attractiveness (PAIMRAI) of the Africa Development Bank in Senegal. He has also worked as a research officer at the Research Institute for Development, and for the Senegalese Department of Taxes and Domains. As a consultant, he supported the development of strategic plans for several organizations in Senegal.

Papa Daouda holds an M.Sc. in economics and statistics from ENSAE-Senegal with a specialization in public policy impact assessment.
