The Ibrahim Forum is an annual conference that brings together some of the leading voices to discuss a range of critical issues facing Africa. The 2013 edition focused on the next 50 years for Africa, and brought together hundreds of policymakers, civil society leaders, and businesspeople in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to lay out a vision for a prosperous, sustainable future for the continent.

The forum session on sustainable economic opportunity featured Revenue Watch Institute president Daniel Kaufmann and other distinguished panelists. Video of the session was recently posted online, and includes discussion of the changing dynamics of foreign aid, the role of state-owned enterprises, and the importance of technology in shaping the next half century of growth in Africa.
