The Global Partners Forum of the Global Partnership for Social Accountability (GPSA) takes place annually at the World Bank headquarters in Washington, D.C., and is an eminent global summit on social accountability for development. It convenes the GPSA’s Global Partners Network consisting of practitioners and thought leaders across civil society, governments, academia and business, alongside World Bank professionals.

This year, NRGI chief operating officer Suneeta Kaimal will speak on a plenary panel also featuring Deborah Wetzel (World Bank), Colin Bruce (World Bank); Maninder Gil; and Dennis Whittle (Feedback Labs):

Social Accountability and New Frontiers in Development

This panel explores how social accountability interventions can rise to address contemporary development challenges such as mitigating fragility, conflict and violence, building trust in institutions, and strengthening civic space, among others. It focuses on the World Bank’s experience in promoting collaboration between its different units – traditionally focused on governance, poverty and fragility – to explore the growing role of social accountability and citizen engagement within challenging environments.
