The International Open Data Conference (IODC) is an event that brings the global open data community together in order to learn, share, plan and collaborate on the future of open data. The unique nature of this event is that it gathers together in one location a diverse range of participants from the northern and southern hemispheres to define strategies to advance open data both globally and locally. All sessions that will take place in the main plenary room will be livestreamed.

NRGI Myanmar senior officer Aye Kyithar Swe (@AyeKSwe), senior open data officer Anders Pedersen (@anpe) and Nigeria officer Zira John Quaghe (@ZiraJQ) will be participating in the conference and will speak at a series of events.

One of the byproducts of the State of Open Data report is a dataset of actors, initiatives and themes where people are working on open data. Together with our authors, we would like to share our actor mapping, see where there are gaps and under what type of action might help to create a better innovative environment there. How can we identify who is influential? What is missing? How can we leverage best practices through peer-to-peer learning? Where do we need to put more efforts?
