TICTeC is an milestone conference focused on Civic Tech. It brings together researchers, practitioners and all those with an interest in how technology is changing the way we engage with society.

According to the conference site, "TICTeC is known for its unique focus on the impacts of Civic Technologies: it’s a safe place to examine what works, what doesn’t, and how best to measure that."

NRGI senior open data officer Anders Pedersen will participate in a session focused on blockchain and whether the technology that underpins Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and is widely heralded as the answer to a vast array of public problems can live up to the hype. This 75-minute session will allow for an extended Q&A session.
