Based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Georges' responsibilities include supporting project planning, implementing technical activities, advocating with provincial and local stakeholders, and assisting with donor reporting.

Before joining NRGI, Georges served as a senior lecturer at various universities in the DRC, teaching courses on mineral economics, exploration and project assessment. Additionally, he worked as a consultant at the Africa Policy Institute, leading initiatives to improve transparency, accountability and community engagement in mining operations across Africa, focusing on copper, cobalt and other critical metals.

Georges holds a Ph.D. in mineral exploration geosciences from the Pan African University Institute of Life and Earth Sciences at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His doctoral research focused on rare earth elements deposits in the DRC. He also served as a DAAD research fellow at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Georges obtained his MSc and BSc degrees in geology from the University of Nairobi and the Université Officielle de Ruwenzori, respectively.
